BlowUp is a new magazine focused on portraiture, the human body, and fashion.
Portraits, as well as the human body and fashion, tell the story of our generation and anticipate those that will come. These types of images can be contemplative, introspective, aesthetic, narrative, studied, or purely instinctive, but they will always speak of us. Portraiture (and everything related to the human figure) is the genre that has most allowed the rapid development of photography since its dawn and is probably also the most complex genre. Often trivialized or vulgarized, it actually narrates our relationship with the other.
For the photographer, the other is always a mirror. And even for those who view these images, there will always be a mirror, even unconsciously, through the 'other' that is different from oneself. Blowup, in addition to being a magazine, aims to be a platform that creates opportunities for connections between artists.
