Yulia Bilato is a visual artist working with photography as a medium of perception. Her practice explores presence, identity, and the boundaries between reality and irreality.
She works with reality as a material, shifting documentary imagery into the realm of subjective perception and experience. Through portraits, self-portraits, and street photography—including work produced in the context of fashion events, Yulia examines the human presence within urban space.
Using movement, layering, and soft focus, she creates images in which form loses stability, dissolving into transitional states.
